I'll definitely be coming back here to try other menu itmes

Solid Mediterranean food for the upper east side. I'm generally pretty skeptical of ethnic food places that aren't in ethnic neighborhoods. I just find those kinds of restaurants to be less authentic. But Hummus Kitchen serves up some solid food. Their falafels are moist inside & super crunchy on the outside. The entire wrap is super fulfilling. Also, big big tip. Their hot sauce is amazing. I was literally expecting like a Tabasco or something but oh my goodness - their hot sauce is this super herbaceous green spread and it actually has a (slight) kick to it! I'll definitely be coming back here to try other menu itmes

The falafel was perfectly fried

For the appetizers we ordered the trio mazze. We chose falafel, hummus, and stuffed grape leaves. The falafel was perfectly fried with a tart pickled cabbage dip underneath. This was something different and unexpected. The combination worked well together and the dip added great flavor to the falafel. The hummus was decent but for my taste buds it wasn't tangy enough, I prefer a kick to my hummus. The stuffed grape leaves were a new experience for me. Grape leaves are naturally bitter and personally not my favorite, but the stuffing in it added to its flavor. For entree, we had Chraime Moroccan Fish. It is salmon cooked with sweet and hot peppers, served with couscous. The portion was a good size to be shared among two. The lemon added an extra zest to the dish. This overall was great entree. We had the Lemonana and Hibiscus Iced Tea for drinks. The Kitchen Kadif is a halva parfait based dessert. It's safe to say this is one of my favorite dishes on their menu. It's great for someone who has a sweet tooth and it definitely satisfied mine.* The atmosphere was very friendly. The workers were kind, attentive and welcoming. Even though the restaurant was busy, food was brought out pretty fast.

The food was absolutely delicious!

The food was absolutely delicious! The humus, falafel, cauliflower dishes were so tasteful. Hummus Kitchen donated food trays to NYU Langone during the Pandemic, such a humble and caring act by the owners. I can speak for everyone in the department, we absolutely loved the food and nothing was left over. I definitely will visit this restaurant in the future!

enjoyed the food

This place has amazing food and amazing people working here. Food from this department was donated to me and my staff because of the hard work they have been putting in during the hard fight against COVID-19. The food was individually packaged very nicely, with hummus falafel and various other food items. The owner was extremely helpful and personable while setting the donation up with me, and worked very promptly! I can speak for the whole department when I say everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and there was literally nothing left! I will definitely be going to the restaurant very soon!

Absolutely aThis place is so good!mazing brunch special and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted legit amazing. Huge points for being dairy free too! I'm lactose intolerant so that's a huge plus. The olive oil they keep on the table tastes so amazing! Also the pita bread is the BEST!

I'm getting hungry

've been to many of the other establishments in the city that have the meats, but the hot corned beef and pastrami sandwiches here at Ben's simply melt in your mouth. I remember this same experience in the Jewish deli in my hometown when I was very young, but rarely have I had a sandwich like that anywhere else. Except here! Wow! We each had one of each sandwich and split a bowl of Matzo Ball Soup. The matzo ball was just like my mom's (great) and the soup was delicious, just like traditional chicken soup should be. Could've used fewer egg noddles, but that's barely a complaint. The Hot Pastrami sandwich and corned beef sandwiches were perfect, melt in your mouth delicious. Can't stress that enough. Our waiter was helpful in choosing between extra lean and suggested regular because the sandwich would be dry. He was correct. I don't love a fatty meat, but this is the only way to get the correct flavor and texture on this sandwich. I'm getting hungry writing this and now have to go plan my next nyc trip so I can get this again!

My wife and I wanted to visit a Jewish deli on our trip to NYC. I'm pretty sure we found a tourist haunt not far off of time square but the Matzo Ball soup was very good as was the Corned Beef sandwhich on rye. At $20 it wasn't cheap but given the high rent district it was expected. I'll be on the lookout for other Jewish Deli's that are not in such a prime location for my next trip to NYC.
